Volunteer Information
Care 4 Cats
currently visit ibiza for two weeks in November each year and for one week in February.
We invite applications from veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses with a minimum of 2 years experience with
small animal surgery, also experience and efficiency in flank spaying ~ midline is not used.
We also invite applications from trappers - experienced if possible but full training is given.
We also we require general assistants to work at the clinic on reception and general tasks.
In order that we may do even more cat spaying work, we are now asking that the team all pay £50.00 towards their air fare.
We also hire a car for the team to transport themselves to the surgery and to use in any time off.
The accommodation is free courtesy of panorama holidays in ibiza, this is one or two apartments on the beach at es cana
which means that the team are able to cook or eat out. There are many restaurants nearby where you can eat very reasonably.
The working day starts at 9.am. we have an hour long break at lunch time. usually food is brought in and lunch is
al fresco on the patio at the clinic. the day usually ends around 7 - 8pm.
Saturday and Sunday is a holiday for the veterinary team but one of the helpers must be at the clinic on the
Sunday in case anyone turns up with cats, which does happen but this can be covered in two shifts.
Recruitment
Care 4 Cats have been working in ibiza now for 10 years and we have made 22 visits, we have established an excellent routine which gets the cats
operated on very efficiently. This routine is explained at a meeting prior to the work commencing.
